Biography

Ivy Marie Apa is a practicing artist and academic. She worked as an illustrator for children’s literature of international publications before entering the academe. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and her master’s degree in Anthropology at the University of San Carlos, Cebu, Philippines. She teaches art history and art research in the Fine Arts programs of the University of the Philippines Cebu and the University of San Carlos. She is the former Chairperson of Regional Art Forum (RAF), a non-profit organization or network of visual artists, writers, community workers, scholars, and counter experts that promote art reception and contemporary art practices in the regions.
